The book explains how information technology is revolutioning legal education and the working methods of lawyers.

Part I ("ON-LINE LEGAL INFORMATION") deals with information technology tools that facilitate the retrieval of statutes, case law, statutory instruments and so on. The author illustrates computer networks as well as contents and query systems of legal databases. He describes Internet and the legal online resources available from the following countries and international organizations: Italy, United Kingdom, France, Germany, USA, Canada, European Union and ONU. A specific attention is reserved to: The Electronic Documentation Centre (CED) of the Italian Supreme Court (Italgiure), the Italian Senate legal database, the Italian Chamber of Deputies legal database, Lexis, the European Parliament legal database (Epoque). A chapter deals with Cd-rom.

Part II ("COMPUTER ASSISTED LEGAL INSTRUCTION") explains how the information technology is revolutioning the legal education. The author illustrates the didactic software, the hypertexts and the expert systems.
